Update from a IMC member:
Just an FYI, I have been to LM Sugarbush. I would strongly recommend checking on conditions before taking Miata’s in there. The fields were pretty rutty last weekend according to their Facebook page and with the ground thawing, it will be a mess.
Join us for a joint ride with the Indy Mini-Cooper Club to a Maple Syrup Farm, LM Sugarbush, in Salem, Indiana.
We will be starting at the Steak ‘n Shake at 4310 Southport Crossing Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46237. Driver’s meeting will be at 8:45 AM and drive will start at 9:00 AM. There is a Shell station and a Bob Evans right there if you need gas or breakfast beforehand.
The drive is approximately 120 miles and will take about 3 hours with a bathroom break around 2 hours into the drive.
The parking at LM Sugarbush is not great – just fields which are typically muddy – so keep that in mind. If the ground is too wet and soft, we will go to plan B which will be to go into Salem which is about 20 minutes west and eat at the Cheddar Depot which has American food and is located at 800 N. Main St Salem, IN 47167.
If you decide to brave it, the festival has food, crafts, and of course, maple syrup. Here is the link to their website. http://www.lmsugarbush.com/ourfestival.html
Ride With GPS Link This is the best one to use on your phone.
TCX Link Compatible with most modern GPS units. Provides turn by turn directions including custom cue entries. Garmin Edge Series: Most Garmin Edge devices, such as the Edge 510, 810, 1000, and Touring, support TCX files for turn-by-turn navigation. These are Bicycle GPS Units. Not sure how well they work in a car.
GPX Link Garmin Devices: Most Garmin GPS units, including the Edge series, eTrex series, GPSMAP series, and Montana series, support GPX files. These are also Bicycle GPS Unit's.
