On Saturday, May 6th, let’s get together for what may be the most interesting road rally of the year.
Why, you ask? Like many of our other rallies, this will begin on Saturday afternoon in Carmel and include a 90-minute drive with a unique destination of… wait for it… the 126th Street Round-a-bout over Keystone Avenue.
To be clear, we’re closing the 126th Street at the Round-a-bout that goes over Keystone Avenue (many thanks to the City of Carmel for their help). We’ll park in—and—around the intersection, host a band, feature food trucks… and generally just take over the intersection between 4:30pm and 7:30pm. You’re welcome to enjoy the drive, then share an early dinner with the Hamilton County automotive community in, perhaps, the most common, yet most uncommon, finishes we’ve had to date.
In addition, we’ll feature an enhanced route between Carmel and, well… Carmel… but we’ll have the same easy load-in process, the same straight-forward, Google Maps-based Route Guide, and the same gorgeous drive through Indiana’s Spring foliage.
It’s probably the best $30 road rally in the country if you could find another $30 road rally. And, 100% of your entry fee proceeds will go to support the work of the American Lung Association.
As ever, we’ll feature three run groups: 3:00pm, 3:30pm and 4:00pm. These will determine when you arrive and assure that we have a well-staged and well-paced experience.
What is the KEYSTONE 10000?
Like our other rallies, the KEYSTONE 10000 is a cheep and cheerful, rain or shine, un-timed, non-competitive road rally through the nicest, hilliest, windiest back-roads in Hamilton and surrounding counties has to offer. We have managed to find the most interesting 90-minute route starting in Carmel and ending… well… in Carmel.
Where will the rally start/finish?
We will be starting in three different run groups beginning at 3:00pm in Carmel… completing the 90-minute drive… then arriving at 126th Street Round-a-bout at 4:30pm, in increments of 30 minutes.
What’s the Purpose?
Each of our rallies serves two distinct purposes. First, it’s a great, safe way to get car enthusiasts together, doing what the love do the most. Drive.
More importantly, it will support a local organization. We always support local, non-profits with your entry fees, and this time is no different. The American Lung Association is the leading organization working to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease, through research, education and advocacy. Their work is focused on five strategic imperatives: to defeat lung cancer; to improve the air we breathe; to reduce the burden of lung disease on individuals and their families; to eliminate tobacco use and tobacco-related diseases; and to accelerate fundraising and enhance organizational effectiveness to support the urgency of their mission.
